Ok, so upon VISUAL inspection, two rods are very bent. These are the best pics I have thusfar, when I get my engine stand back and the engine comes out, I will tear it down and get better pictures.

You don't get those numbers on a 3.4 pulley.

Any pictures of what they should look like? It is hard to say what is what when you don't know what it should look like.
uhh the rods should be straight and the piston skirts should not be cracked as they are.

Thats crazy! that's too much for a stock motor to handle. No wonder why it blew up.

Synthetic or conventional oil? Weight?
A Cobra short block would be the way to go if your heads are good!

What size injectors are on there?
Bent rods usually mean fuel dump which, like water, cannot be compressed (ie Hydrolock)
Glenn

I agree, the bent rods are due to two things - either water in tlhe combustion chamber or a fuel dump. You normally do not get a bent rod from any other reason. Did the head gaskets leak? Believe it or not there may not be any other damage to the engine. I know its sounds hard to believe, buy hydralic lock up doesn't necessarily mean the engine is totaled.

As far as i know the head gaskets did not leak, I'm still pulling stuff apart, but it looks like the only damage is that nick in the bottom of the cylinder wall from where the rod hit it. That's the only thing I've seen, after I get more stuff off it, I'm going to check and see if the block itself could be reused and replace the internals with forged parts.

Read through the posts on the first page and you will see someone already answered that exact question.
Just like that same person did 3 other times in the last thread about this same exact topic. :shake:

I don't think Daves' Marauder is on the squeeze.
His runnin' Buddy Mikes' Merc is spraying a bit, but he has a forged rotating assembly.

Both of us have a Trilogy Eaton supercharger from Trilogy.
Mike has a forged built motor from Lidio and is spraying it to get his impressive numbers.
I have a stock motor, thats it. Been pushing 13.5 - 14 pounds of boost and cranking out 512 RWHP for YEARS without so much as a single issue. I owe that to a great indepth tune from Lidio.
__________________
Mike is still on Lidio's new motor break in tune....Wait and see what Mike's ride will do after Lid leans on the tune. There is a LOT of power that hasn't even been tapped yet.... I for one cant wait to see what it will run after that....
Hey...what's this I am hearing about there being no Trilogy equipped Marauders surviving with stock motors putting out 500+ RWHP?
I will say this again for the bazillianth freaking time.... My Marauder has been equipped with the Trilogy Eaton M-112 since August, 2003. The first retail kit sold by Jerry! In fact, Lidio finished my install/dyno/test driving at Midnight the day before we drove to Ennis Texas for Marauderville I. Yep, how is that for a shakedown cruise of a few thousand miles!? Not a hint of a problem.
That makes mine the LONGEST surviving stock motor with a Trilogy Kit installed. It is also the only Marauder pushing that much boost, RWHP, and Torque with a stock motor for that period of time. Ask anyone around town how I drive that car too. Every red light that turns green is just like another launch as if I was at the Dragstrip! I BEAT that car hard. I do not have NOS, all my power is from the Eaton. I was pushing that much power before just about anyone had a forged motor.
Now...you may ask, "How can that be Dave? It is impossible for a stock motor to last with that much power?! There is no way! What is the secret of your motor's long healty life?"
Well, my friends, the answer is simple! Lidio knows his trade, knows it well. The only reason my car has held together so long is the tune. I will be completely honest, Lidio and I have discussed how my Marauder is tuned....He says that the only other Marauder that he has leaned on as hard as his personal Marauder is mine. We are good enough friends that I trust him. I begged him to squeeze some more out of it, and to be as aggressive as he could be, and he did. Still the car runs like a scalded dog and the motor is in one piece.
So there you have it....the proof is in the tune, the proof is in the dyno sheet, and anyone that doesnt understand must be ignorant.
