Hello Everybody,

Like many others I got caught in the OEM tire shortage and had to replace the rears. Finally found a tire shop run by a couple of guys only interested in selling a decent tire, at a decent price, for the application. The Toyo's were in stock, looked good and were $140 each installed. I like the looks and this tire dealer said Toyo is the maker of Nitto. These look good on the car and so far ride well in town. Full specs here:

Many thanks to all the posters here for all the tire info and especially Red for the replacemnt guide. I used the information in numerous threads and the guide in choosing replacement tires.

I'll report more as some miles get put on but since I am out of the country for the month of January that report will be later this spring.

Best,
Bob

Cool! I have run several sets of Toyo Proxes on pass cars and a minivan, both regular non directional and also a few pairs of the Proxes TPT directionals, and they were decent tires.

I had the original ST's on my old MM. I plan on putting some on this new one come spring.

Did the first highway miles yesterday. Top speed of only 90 but the tires were very solid and in my opinion much quieter than the OEMs that came off. This is another mixed set as the Toyos are on the rear and a set of about 50% worn BFG GA T-force stock tires on the front.

I have the proxies on my car for about 5000 mi.. The only thing I dont like is the squeeling around corners and when you spin them. Its hard to remain stelthy when your tires are howling like a monkey with his nuts in a vise
