Froze my arse off this morning, -10F with a -15F windchill.

The only open water within 30 miles is on the Minnesota River where the cooling water exits a power plant and returns to the river.

The eagle shots are cropped a lot and the image quality suffers. A couple others guys were out shooting, both had a 500mm lenses:eek: I have lens envy.

Nice pics booya!

And no need for lens envy. :D

What is the size ratio of your processor?

If it is say 1:1.35 or so, a 300mm tele may equate to 425mm on your housing.

Since you shoot in bright light, a doubler may work for you if your current tele is atleast f4.5 or faster and only drop one or two f-stops.

Tamron makes some really affordable fast long lenses.

Thanks Barry!

The Canon 40D is a 1.6x crop camera. I have a 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverter. The issue is I lose autofocus:help: and getting a bird in flight (BIF)would be darn near impossible for me. I have shot a few with using the teleconverters and tripod, but no BIF
