installed 200 amp alt. would i be pushing it too much if i install an overdrive alt pulley, and is there 1 that fits on to alts with clutch pulley.
any one know of i tht i can use, verses bumping engine idle.

You cant really overdo it since the computer will regulate the alt output, so if you overclocked it so to speak, the computer would simply regulate its output to the system.
You shouldnt have to correct it in any way, if the vehicle is undercharging, the computer may bump up the idle slightly to see what the alt is doing. If you are having trouble, it is elsewhere.
Stop double parking under the L on 86th for pizza for starters.. LOL

Richy is dead on here! You really can do what you want here...more amps available is always good! The car will regulate, but the fdactory alternator in my car was only putting out 60+ amps at idle...my pa performance alternator is putting out double that, hot. Lets just say my batteries(two) are always full.

Careful... There is a max rpm limit for the alternator. If you exceed it by putting on a smaller pulley, you risk seized bearings or other mechanical failure.
