View Full Version : Spoiler Install Myself

After dealer quoted 2hrs. to install and was not sure who would do it. ie. mech. or body shop for min. $ 250 - I did it myself after calling the mfg.
Took 30 minutes only.
Follow inst. with sm. changes.
Must have all tools laid out
Covered entire inside trunk & rear bumper with paint tarp to catch all drill fileings (it only takes 1 sm. piece to ruin the paint.)
Tapped two pencils w/elec. tape to top of spoiler to get it flat with trunk - then drilled 1/8" holes 1st. then 5/16" hole.
Put up templates & did inside - then went to install and found that the glue on the dbl. tape arch part was painted over- had to get facty. to send another.
Also noted that there are no drain holes on bottom side incase moisture does get in.
LOOKS GREAT & more people notice !!!
