My sunroof light is blinking. Don't know why. It still works but you have to hold the button down to open and close the sunroof (no one touch). Also will not autmaticaaly close when you shut the car off. Anyone else have this problem?2003 Marauder 300a

Um, mine is one touch only to open. Have to hold to close or to open for just vent.
Auto close on shutdown - I wish.
You must have an aftermarket. Either that or mine has not worked right from day one....Stickered option.

Mine is the same as yours.....no lights for the sunroof button either...

My '94 Jaguar XJ12 had a neat button on the dash that would close all windows, the moon roof and lock the doors. Had to hold it down until the moonroof closed all the way though.
Nice option.... Wish we had a one touch that would do that.

thats because you have an 04. 03's were technically aftermarket as Mercury sent the cars directly to the sunroof company after assembly in the plant. Then they were sent to the dealership. Not sure why. Maybe Ford did not have the design done in time.

Has to be aftermarket.
Sunroofs were not an option for the 300A's in 03.

I would check with sunroof installers in the area to ask about this. I believe this can help you.

Press the ASC button and see what happens. I believe this button controls the moonroof opening up and closing automatically or when pressed/blinking you have to hold the Open/close button for the the desired spot. You then hit the open/close button and you will see that it should open/close all the way automatically. The ASC button just lets you stop the moonroof or allows it to go open/close all the way when you press the open/close button. If this doesnt work let me know and I will dig out my car in the garage and see if I have a manual for it.
I have the same moonroof installed on my 03 and it is ASC also. This is actually a nicer moonroof then the one Ford put in the cars in 04 per my opinion. I have owned both an 03 and 04 with moon roofs and sold my 04 DTR in 2006.
Hope this helps.

You have that wrong, 2004 300a's had sunroof's installed by a contracted company, anything before 2004 had no sunroof as an option

If it won't close on it's own, check the ignition source for the sunroof, they use a 12v+ and 12v swith to operate the unit.

FIX:For the record. I opened and closed the sunroof all the way and the light quick blinking. Must of had to "learn" the full extend of the travel or something after replacing the battery. I don't know. It works.
