This is about the 20th Marauder that I have seen 100% totaled without the air bags going deploying.
On the Marauder, the airbags are just for show. They are not set up to keep one more safe and "THAT'S" what pisses me off about these threads.

Hit right in the spot that Panthers are known to be weakest - clever pole!
This should be a little reminder for the rest of us, though. How many times has each of us been "lucky" and avoided something like this ourselves?

This is about the 20th Marauder that I have seen 100% totaled without the air bags going deploying.I thought the dash and steeringwheel airbags only deployed in a frontal collision? From the supplied pix we can't see whether the side airbag in the driver's seat deployed.

I don't see any blood and gore, so I'm guessing that they did.

You do know the airbags will not deploy on a side impact, right!?! With the impact force coming from the side, you don't need airbags keeping you from making impact with the steering wheel and/or dash and windshield. If it was equipped with side airbags in the seats, then they should have gone off. I had a Mach1 that I managed to put in a ditch (don't worry, beat myself up over that one for years) at about a 45 degree angle, no airbags. Of course, once it was all said and done, realized I didn't need them to deploy, all of my impact force pushed me towards the passenger seat then towards the back seat once the car rotated. These engineers have a pretty good grasp on situations such as this. The bags are supposed to lessen injury, not cause a compound injury. If the person in that Marauder would've had the bags deploy, not only would the drivers window have beaten them in the head, but then the airbag would've smacked them in the face. If their head was already twisted from the impact, the bags could've wrenched their neck causing worse injury or death.

Sorry Shora but that statement is totally false. The airbags will deploy even on a side impact, and it will keep you from harm......

Not exactly. It can't be rebuilt and licensed in Maryland. It could be done in other states.

They should get the leaves out of the wiper cowel otherwise there could be issues with rain water drainage.
