Yes I know the Mach 1's and Cobra's will fit, but what about the Aviator. 4.6L DOHC InTech V8, is it the same as the Marauder engine? Are there any major differences with any of the normal parts? I understand intake is different and I would be swapping that out anyway, but the engine itself should go right in and bolt up right?

I believe it would work just fine.

If Zack were here, he could get you right to it.
I believe your ok with that, but need to swap out the timing covers and such from you Marauder.
BTW... did you see if Impalaslayer sold his Cobra shortblock? You could swap all your stuff onto that.

I believe compression is slightly lower yes.
In 2003 it looks like the Mach and MM motors had the same compression 10.1:1 and the aviator had an even 10:1. The difference was in the cams. The aviator had cams that produced the most torque to move the suv down the road, the MM had cams that produced good torque and horespower again to move a big car down the road, and the Mach motor had high horse cams as the light car did not need as much torque as the others.
the interchange book list them as a direct replacement
