Why is it advertised as a 2003 if it was built and delivered in 2002?

Ford Motor Co. designated it a 2003 model
Really nothing new,the 1965 Mustang was introduced in 1964 at The Worlds Fair in NYC.

Model year almost always starts in the previous year, my 03 was built near the end of 02

Most 2003 marauders were built in 2002. The Marauder was introduced as a early 2003. 6 months before the calender year of 2003 started. I purchased my car in Oct. of 2002. Cheesehead Bob has one of the oldest Marauders on this site. I believe his production date was June of 2002 (32nd Marauder produced).

Why would anyone buy a $30K++ car (BAD investment by any measure)...not drive it a lot and turn around and sell it 6 or 7 years later expecting to get their money out of it??
I probably couldn't get $10K for mine but with 191K miles I have gotten $100K worth of enjoyment out of it!!:bows:

Well, I was going to buy it when I saw the nice blie pinstripe, but then realized it didn't have the heated seats. So, the hunt for a good winter beater continues...

Very Nice other than the horrible blue stripe. It would be nice to have a brand new one again.

Because some people didn't realize the common panther platform problem.
Buy the car, instantly drops 10 grand in resale.
