The Phaeton is a really nice, just Amazing, car.

My Marauder sounds Amazing, but is rough around the edges.

The Phaeton has no rough edges, it is just smooth.

Don't forget that both vehicles have large empty areas in their interiors...just like your head.

Thanks for the info on the car Aren. I remember seeing one not long after they were released...pretty surprised it was a VW. Sadly.....It was sitting in a parking lot...shortly after I saw it on a flatbed.

I think you have to ask yourself why you buy a car like that in the first place. I has an impressive array of features, but when you see one driving down the street, no one even gives it a second look because it looks like all the other sedans on the road. At least a Mercedes has a specific look as well as the BMW's, but you can always tell a Marauder when you see one comming and you always get noticed more in the parking lot. Lets be honest. Who needs to freeze their gonads in the summer if no one even gives a second look to what you are driving?

No it hasnt, but it is funny that you mention that.

I have found recently the backlash against Aren Jay's threads and posts to be annoying myself. I continually see the same, as Aren calls them "Groupies", making posts about how they are tired of Aren being here.

Looking from an outsiders point of view, this is tearing the site down. If I were new to the site, and did not know how it was pre Zack and Steve's absence, I would not stay. I go into almost every thread now and see posts about midget porn and farts.

This not only annoys me, it makes the site les useful and less fun. I do not like reading these posts. I find them offensive, not because you say midget but because you are singling out a group of people that are born that way. I am SO FAR from politically correct, but constant badgering of subjects like this, start to become offensive.

Aren Jay, and his posts, will not change. And why should he? We all make dumb threads, and if you read some of his stuff, he actually does make good points. If you don't like his stuff, stop reading and posting there. One member has said, STOP FEEDING THE TROLL... While it isnt the nicest way, it could be used. Stop antagonizing him and he will quit pissing you off.

Alot of this was brought on by people posting :bs: about other cars on a Marauder site. You got problems with your MM, or questions about it, this is the place to be.

You don't like your car, that's okay. Sell it and move on; most of us here really don't care too much why you don't like it, or what you'd rather own. You like VW's, Beemers, etc, NBD, go post about 'em some place else.

Most of the stuff that gets slung back and forth among the regular posters is just friendly banter between friends. A number of us have been together at Maraudervilles, Kentucky meets, etc and have developed friendships.

When you get someone you don't know posting stuff that comes across basically as crap (example: Aren Jay's admonishment of RayJay's lawsuit against the dog owners), it tends to pizz you off and create hosility.

Furthermore, when you get some cutesy comments like:

Oh here's some of your replies, I'll do it for you: Too bad!!! Marauders kick butt...Ill never drive another car...Marauder til I die! ...stinkin ridiculous!

and

Boy your maturity is astounding...my feelings are so hurt...I dont think I'll make it another day.:stupid:

the animosity towards these folks just grows.

Solution for me is IGNORE. Hopefully they'll eventually just go away and leave the mm.net bandwith for those that enjoy owning, talking about and hanging around Marauders and their owners.

We ahve talked a few times, and I have always considered you to be very knowledgable and helpful. However, lately many people that I have respected and turned to for help have seem to start being a-holes to other members. Ignore Aren Jay. Who gives to craps about bandwidth! delete old crap threads and move on....

OK I get it...I accidentally got sucked into a vortex of drama that had nothing to do with me...I THOUGHT someone was getting needlessly attacked and this time put myself in the "Dork Seat" obviously you guys have history here so I'm out! Sorry to have mucked up the place, this is definitely not my way of making friends and having fun with the car I love!

BTW I will keep my Marauder til I die! I dont buy cars to sell, I'm not a car dealer I am a consumer and enthusiast(I'm sure the thousands I've put into my beast is my proof). Peace!
