DID WE ALL MADE IT HOME FROM OUR JOURNEY?
I made it home in 17 hours. 1247 miles or so all in one piece and relatively uneventfull. Saw a horrible (likely fatal) accident as it happened on I-40 marker 58 in Tennessee. It rained for the entire trip.
Ennis was awesome. To all the people I met: You people are awesome. Thank you for a great experience.
PS: My best time on Sat. was 14.708 @ 94.56 mph 1.6 R/T

Approximatley 1655 miles in less than three hours. I was flying. Literally.
Barry, it was great to meet you. I may be PM'ing you about a favor, now that I have friends nationwide. That's a ZZ Top song, isn't it?
I left at 12:45pm Sunday & pulled in my driveway at 4:00 am Monday Morning. 1000 total miles traveled with 59 minutes of down time. All is well & the trip was a blast!
Great meeting everyone

I'm Home too, a few hours after Zack.
We pulled out together, took SR 69 up to I-44, and headed East from there. Picked up I-70 in St. Louis, heading into !-57, and onward to Chicago. Around midnight, I started dreaming of running for President and decided to rest a few hours in Vandalia, IL. Zack continued on alone and I picked it up again this morning, arriving home around noon. Both of us were kept quite entertained by several thunderstorms through OK, the kind that make you think of loved ones.
I know Marty and Bunny are back home, and Dennis is unpacking as you read.
BigDogJim and Nomad are tucked in for the night in Effingham, IL., and they will still be on the road tomorrow.
Check-in folks, the street lights are on...

Well my 280 miles went by in about 3 1/2 hours.
Thanks to all ,that was a blast!
I made it home Sunday night around 8 p.m. after driving 10 hours in the rain. (All I saw of Arkansas was limited to about 200 feet in front of my bumper.)
I didn't realize how stressed I was until pulling into the driveway I couldn't reach the keys to turn off the car. (White knuckles from driving 85 mph almost the whole way.)
Round trip mileage 1,722 miles, including driving back and forth around Dallas. (Memo to self: Next year you're staying at the hotel with everyone else!) Cost: $128 in gas, at least according to the receipts I could fine this morning.
I already miss hanging out with all of you.

I stayed in Ennis Sat. night even though I live in Carrollton (just north of Dallas). Took about an hour and a half Sunday to get home after our parade lap. I want to thank all of the people who travelled such a long distance to be with us this past weekend; I know it took a lot of effort and we Texas Marauder owners are really happy you went to such effort to help make this happen. And cruztaker, thanks for being so nice to my 5 yr old son on Friday.

I believe the Michigan Chapter finally made it home in one piece. We split up just inside Michigan before heading our separate ways home. But the return trip wasnt without it's downside. We were on I-94 after dark, a vehicle threw up a huge retread semi tire tread right in front of Lidio, Me, and Ben (Trilogy Engineer). Damage report as follows, Lidio in Trilogy #1 appears to just have missed the big strip of rubber tread and ended up running it over with no visible damage to the body. My car caught the tread on the drivers front bumper and split it up, 6 inches more and I would have missed it all, but had no place to go. Front bumper cover scratched, foglight bracked broken. Ben caught the worst of it and caught a big piece in the front grill. Grill was vaporized and front bumper cover ripped apart. We will check the undercariage for any damage we cant see. Thankfully DetGEno and Fast4door were able to avoid the rest of the tread. All of us in our group had a close call with almost being crushed by semi's. Its a shame, we had a great time driving down, only to have a shadow cast over it cause of this.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Fortunately no injuries or serious mechanical damage, sounds like mostly cosmetics. My worst experience was the 850+ miles in rain the whole way home. At least it didn't rain on us while we were there (except the slight drizzle on Sunday morning)! Made it safe & sound though.
Feeling TAF's pain.

Wife and I left Ennis on Sunday at 9:45 AM and naturally it rained practically all the way to New Orleans. Stopped to eat and pulled in driveway at 6:45 PM with plenty of time to un-pack, rest up for a full days work come Monday Morning. Was planning to take off but things went South as usual.
Had a great time, everyone had kind words and couldn't have been nicer. We will be at the next one!!!! We feel bad for Todd.....

We slept as late as we could Monday, leaving Dallas at about 8ish. Lovely weather the whole way (we chased the storm.) Drove till about 10, about 30 miles shy of Knoksville. Crashed, and was on the road by 7 the next morning. Pulled at at 3pm Tuesday, unpacked, and just relaxed.

Maury: I can't thank you enough for allowing this great weekend to come together for me. Your assistance in getting the Mongoose to Ennis was invaluable. Without you, I would not have had the time of my life! Sorry if I was tense when I got there -- that's just the NY lawyer in me. That and the fact that I missed my car!!
Once again, three cheers to you Maury!
