HI, all. Long time no see. I need a new set of tires, and I'm checking out all the possibilities. I remember a long time back someone posted about using some pickup truck tires that he found in our size. Good price, nice ride. Tried searching but ain't having much luck sorting out all the many tire posts over the years.
Anyone remember anything about that? Thanks

If I remember correctly, the Kumho ECSTA STX's (which are still in my trunk) I bought were considered "light suv and sport truck" tires. We'll see how sporty they are here in a day or three.

Same thing with the General Grabber UHPs I've got on the back of the Bluesmobile. I've got about 5k on them so far, and they're holding up well, and have had no perfromance issues to date. Will post a reveiw on them when I get up to around 10k.

The Continentals I bought are used on the land rover, they are 420, A, AA, and have a Z speed rating. Better than OEM tires.

It might have been the Nitto 420S, 255/55/18 for the rear.
I think it's considered an SUV tire.
About $123.00 per tire at Discount tire.
