Anyone planning on goin to KY from the region want to meet up and cruise together? I plan on leaving thursday night so I avoid most of the traffic and get there first thing in the morning friday.

Anyone planning on goin to KY from the region want to meet up and cruise together? I plan on leaving thursday night so I avoid most of the traffic and get there first thing in the morning friday.

I am planning on leaving early Thursday morning and arriving between 5-6 PM, Thursday night in time for dinner with the early gang. My route will run I-66W, I-81S, I-64W all the way to Louisville.

Just an observation .... but driving all Thursday night will make for a very long day on Friday if you plan to attend the activities. Once you get past the east coast congestion around Baltimore and DC, it was smooth sailing all the way last year on Thursday during the day. Volume picked up a little around Charleston, WV ... but it was nothing like the Northern Virginia metro area.

Understand that some folks can't get off on Thursday .... but if you can swing it .... it'll make for a much more enjoyable and relaxed trip. JMHO.

I'll prolly time my trip to join up en-route with you guys like last year.
