Cheap Radar Gun....

A neighbor of mine is deep into RC cars, planes and boats and wanted to know the speed of some of the fastest so he ordered the $79.95 Bushnell radar gun listed on the link!!:confused:

The thing works GREAT from 10 MPH to ??? (they say 200 MPH) but we have not been able to test it at that speed....yet!! He has recorded speeds of a small electric boat and one of his electric cars......confirmed accuracy with my MM and several "fly-bys"!!:beer:

I ordered one yesterday just to play around with......:rolleyes:

BTW, it is "K-Band" and sets my detector off just like the Police ones so it must have descent range!!:D

I got one of those. Lots of fun, especially at the auto cross events.

They are K-band 24.1 and can be had cheaper on ebay.

I use one to test my detectors as well as annoy kids with Cobras that fly down my street. Unfortunately, in many cases the Cobras don't even pick up the signal... :P

There are also a couple laser ranger finders with speed function that can simulate a lidar gun but I'm not sure on the pulse rate as I don't own one. They are starting around $260 IIRC.
