View Full Version : Marauder break in!
After work today, a guy showed me how fast he could UNLOCK and get into my Marauder. I was stunned. He had a little wedge of wood that looked like a door stop and a metal rod with basically a J shape on the end of it. I said "Go for it." I expected him to try the front door, nope. Went to the back passenger side, pulled the weather stripping back a lil bit, stuck the wedge in there enough the slide that rod in, and tilted it back. Pop. Total time from me saying 'go for it' till he was in my front seat: 7 seconds. 7 freakin' seconds!!

My cousin came to my job one day and said..."I bet I can get in your car." I said go head. He went up to the driver door...pushed some buttons on the keypad, then sat in my car in about 5 seconds...I was like WOW...

Getting in is one thing.
How was he going to defeat the PATS?

Dunno, I was afraid to ask! Plus he knows I got a clear sweep looking down from my bedroom window of the part of my driveway where I usually park the Marauder if it isn't in the garage. And I will not hesitate to send a little sumthin sumthin thru the roof of my own car if unauthorized personnel are in it after taps. My anti-theft deterrent is Metallica at full blast when you turn the ignition, my anti-theft device will blow out more than your eardrums. I don't mess with people or thier property and I expect the same, you know? Nowadays, that seems like too much to ask. :( After seeing his demonstration I must say, a car alarm is mighty tempting. And no, I'm not selling car alarms and doing this just for advertisement, lol.

Trust me, if they know the wiring and have enough time it can be bypassed.
Rear doors and front passenger side door are always the easiest to get in from.
an alarm was put on mine as soon as I took delivery

Operative words "enough time".
Anything can be done with "enough time".
Most criminals want to get what ever they want, in as little time as possible.
its easy to get in to a crown vic , its getting out of the back seat with the cuffs on thats hard

A guy I worked with had an alarm installed in his Vette. When they stole the Vette they left the alarm laying in the driveway.

I helped out a Repo man for a few months....
Yea..I learned some pretty kewl stuff. Also got to rally a 2005 F-350 4dr Dualy with 38's and a 6" lift through a front lawn, a mail box, and a 6ft snow drift.
HORRIBLE hours but it was damn fun while it lasted.

The window wedge trick with wire is known very well around here because of our Casinos, both Casinos have a security guys they have trained to get into modern cars when over excited patrons lock their keys in the car. The only problem is its a low paying job mostly staffed by young guys who can't get a job anywhere else and the turnover is huge.Seems like every kid my son hangs with can get into a modern car in seconds

Mine is attached to my Sig 357. Anybody tries to take my ride (or anything from it) will find out why stealing is wrong. I love Texas.:uzi:
