I bought my Marauder about a month ago and I really want to get a cold air intake system, but the thing is I really have no idea what would be the best one to get and I need some help or at least some good opinions. I have narrowed it down to either "JLT" or "K&N". Which one is the best? Or are they pretty much the same? Thanks for any help.

I bought the JLT and i must say for the money i saved there's nothing out there better. It's been on my MM for years now and i still floor it just to hear that sweet sound:burnout:

I would say go with the JLT. They are a great deal and flow just as good as the K&N.

Another one for JLT - nothing will out flow it and the price can't be beat!

really depends on what you llike the look of. they will all provide the same power gains. me, i paid 20k for my k&n so there was no reason to buy anything else

I've been happy with my K&N, it looks and sounds awesome. I bought it because it was available locally. I believe they perform the same. I would definitely have no hesitations about throwing in the JLT though.
The JLT is cheaper, looks just as good, and you'll support a site vendor. It does rub the hood liner though, whereas the K&N does not.

If I were looking for a CAI, I would just buy whatever Dennis Reinhart recommends.

Its a nice kit but its very expensive and does the same job as the JLT for half the price.

I've got a PHP on the Bluesmobile, and like the looks of it, but from a performance perspective, IMO the JLT, K&N, and PHP will be about the same.

I've got the JLT setup on mine, ultimately when it gets down to it they will provide all near the same gains no matter what they are. I would go so far to say if you could get a good sized tube, a healthy sized cone filter, and found a way to to adapt the MAF and PCV, you could put something together from like Autozone that would give comparable gain. To a point, intake stuff is over-thought on areas, after all it's just a tube with a filter at one end.
Although if you've never played with doing intakes before, I wouldn't do the above without at least some help or supervision from someone who has, or just buy whatever kit is most affordable for you.

I love my JLT. I have no Hood liner rub issues with mine.
