View Full Version : Finally bought my own MM

Well I can run but I couldn’t hide any longer.
From the first time I seen the Marauder and then started working with Jerry at Trilogy I knew that it would only be a matter of time till I broke down and bought my own. Just ask Jerry at Trilogy…. I really don’t like to give his MM up… lots of excuses come out of me when he needs it back… waiting on parts, ran out gas, tweaking some thing he made, some one stole it, don’t return his calls, etc…

I purchased it from a dealer named Bob Maxey here in the Detroit area and couldn’t of asked for better service during the sale. Every thing was handled over the phone and the sales lady simply delivered it to my work… tank filled up and ready to go. I only went to the dealer at first to simply look at it briefly for possible paint problems and to make sure the rims had no scuffs or problems that seem to be common when going through car washes.

The car I bought is a 300A which is what I searched for. It’s a dealer demo car so it has 4100 miles on it. I got it at A-plan pricing and 5K in rebates. Couldn’t really find any new ‘03’s around here any longer so I went with the demo and got A-plan pricing on it with out having to kiss ass or suck up a favor from a family member or friend for A-plan papers.

Sadly though when the car arrived at my work, I was so busy that I only spent a few minutes rounding off the deal and then let the car sit in my parking lot for a couple of hours till I got a real good look at it…. And discovered the rims had problems that I missed when I looked at the car initially at the dealer and left the deposit to hold it.

One of the rims had what appears to be slight curb damage and the remaining three clearly have some clear coat pealing or chipped off and the then the rim under that area corrodes and spreads even more after that. I’ve already contacted the service manger where the car came from and it’s going back with in a day or two. It seems like I will have no problem getting four new wheels.

The paint and every other aspect of the car is great and I can’t wait to start driving it on a daily basis.

Can any one guess what the first performance mod I do will be??

One hint………………. BOOOOOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Also I wanted to mention that I had a great time at Ennis and loved talking too and meeting all the other folks who own Marauders. Above all I enjoyed the several test drives I took people on with the Trilogy cars on all three days. I’m pretty exited to be a part of the Marauder “Click”.

Thanks

Lidio,

Glad you finally got it!

You'll have it at Ubly in October, right? With or without the S/C?

It was great meeting you as well as Dave and Geno and the Trilogy crew on the Ennis trip. I had a great time!

I'm planning on making it to Ubly, so don't let me forget the date...

Hey buddy, congrats! You guys should have seen Lidio at the dealership, like a 6 year old that finally convinced mom for that candy bar! I knew it would be a matter of time... It looked like a very early build, 5/02 on the door sticker. Here is to a lot of good fast times in our future!

Hey Lidio, I knew that it was a matter of time. I will be seeing you and Jerry later in the year for my "boost" of performance too. I know that your MM will probably turn low 11's or high 10's when you are done with it.

Congratulations Lidio, if you hurry you can be in the Trilogy top ten. Or one of Jerry's kids as I like to say! Thanks again for helping to make my car the true musclecar that it now is. :burnout:

Thanks for all the replies every one.

For right now my wife has to drive our new MM full time for about 4-6 weeks while her vehicle is being repaired at a body shop.
Some where in between there for now I’m going to do 4.10’s and fully develop a chip for non supercharged applications.

Later this winter or early next year is when the blower goes on. My intensions are to only go mid to high 12s in the ¼ mile with the Trilogy blower @ 11-12psi, 4.10 gears and minor exhaust changes to keep it quite but improve flow. Then I intend to hit all of that with about 50-75 shot of NOS to get into the low, low 12’s.
I’m also going to widen the stock rims in the rear 1.5” and run the 305 Nittos full time like the Trilogy car. We actually drove the Trilogy #1 car to and from Texas on the bigger rear tires and rims and got caught in lots of rain and had no problems… that clinched it for me.

For those in the Michigan area, for the last ten years or so I usually have a big gathering at the end of the season at a drag strip called “Ubly dragway” in Ubly Michigan. It’s a normal Saturday test and tune day that’s become quite a tradition and gets pretty busy. This year its set to take place October 18th. Both of Trilogy’s MM should be there and hopefully one of my Mustangs as well.

Thanks

Hey Lid,

It was great seeing your new Marauder today. I know you will love it! And while it has been difficult to get my car back from you from time to time, you know you are always welcome to have it anytime you need it.

I am looking forward to Ubly's "Lidio Day" and seeing some of my new good friends.

Lidio, you are a first class guy and I wish you all the best with your new car!!!

Sincerely,

Jerry
