Well I can run but I couldn’t hide any longer.
From the first time I seen the Marauder and then started working with Jerry at Trilogy I knew that it would only be a matter of time till I broke down and bought my own. Just ask Jerry at Trilogy…. I really don’t like to give his MM up… lots of excuses come out of me when he needs it back… waiting on parts, ran out gas, tweaking some thing he made, some one stole it, don’t return his calls, etc…
I purchased it from a dealer named Bob Maxey here in the Detroit area and couldn’t of asked for better service during the sale. Every thing was handled over the phone and the sales lady simply delivered it to my work… tank filled up and ready to go. I only went to the dealer at first to simply look at it briefly for possible paint problems and to make sure the rims had no scuffs or problems that seem to be common when going through car washes.
The car I bought is a 300A which is what I searched for. It’s a dealer demo car so it has 4100 miles on it. I got it at A-plan pricing and 5K in rebates. Couldn’t really find any new ‘03’s around here any longer so I went with the demo and got A-plan pricing on it with out having to kiss ass or suck up a favor from a family member or friend for A-plan papers.
Sadly though when the car arrived at my work, I was so busy that I only spent a few minutes rounding off the deal and then let the car sit in my parking lot for a couple of hours till I got a real good look at it…. And discovered the rims had problems that I missed when I looked at the car initially at the dealer and left the deposit to hold it.
One of the rims had what appears to be slight curb damage and the remaining three clearly have some clear coat pealing or chipped off and the then the rim under that area corrodes and spreads even more after that. I’ve already contacted the service manger where the car came from and it’s going back with in a day or two. It seems like I will have no problem getting four new wheels.
The paint and every other aspect of the car is great and I can’t wait to start driving it on a daily basis.
Can any one guess what the first performance mod I do will be??
One hint………………. BOOOOOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
Also I wanted to mention that I had a great time at Ennis and loved talking too and meeting all the other folks who own Marauders. Above all I enjoyed the several test drives I took people on with the Trilogy cars on all three days. I’m pretty exited to be a part of the Marauder “Click”.
Thanks
