Tint

Hi guys and gals.

I still have the factory tint on my 300A. My question is, I would like my tint to be around 25%-30%, so what percent would I need to go along with my factory tint to get what I want?

In MA, the limit is 35%. I had an estimate done at a local place that does many local PD cruisers. They put the light meter on the driver's window and said it's about 85%. They said they could put on 49%, which would bring the net "visible light transmittance" to 34%.

Thanks Mary, that helps! I want mine slightly darker than legal but not so bad that I'll be pulled over constantly!

talk to SVTDave Sean. He knows of guy that does tint and does not cut to do the rear window... which means no seams. It is VERY NICE and pretty reasonably priced. He has his whole MM done in 20% except the drivers window, which is 35% lol you cant tell a difference and when the light meter gets put on it always on the drivers window.
