Anybody seen any dyno testing between these two. I know Dennis is a supporter of this site. I'm looking to buy a chip, and want the best bang for the buck. I have read alot about Diablosport's stuff on Mustangs. I also realize Reinhart has developed a niche here with the Marauder.:help:

I do believe that Dennis does use the Diablo Chips for tuning!

It's all in the tuning, and the tuning Dennis uses is by the best.
You may soon also have an option of getting the same tuning on a handheld tuner. There is a post in the Reinhart forum about it.

Reinhart uses the Diablo Black chip for his tuning, not the same as the Red chips. Reinhart runs his own custom tuning, the Red Chips, while nice, have no where near as much time invested in the tuning.

I don't have any expierience with the Diablo Chip....but there are a ton of people with Reinharts chip and none of them would return them........ :D

I have a Diablo burned by a local speed shop and I like it a lot

I have been working on a shuddering issue with the Dennis for the last month. When I emailed him that I had a Diablo chip I bought from him in May of 2002, he said that he has never used them. I pulled my chip and I was wrong. It did not say Diablo on it as I thought.

There's some great programming behind this chip though and I wouldn't part with it.

I used a Diablo chip on my 96 model Crown Vic. P71. It was an improvement and reliable. I use a DR chip in my Marauder (same improvement and reliability) and if I had to compare/contrast the two:
1) I think Dennis does a better job of correcting the "hunting for the right gear" issue.
2) The Diablo did offer a noticable change when used with a larger BBK throttle body. Not much without.
If the chip is going to be used with the DOHC 4.6- DR is the way to go. I'd also spend the bucks and at least get the 4.10s too.
Bang for the buck? Yep.:D

Don't waste $ anywhere else...call Dennis...be done and you'll be happy.

Anything else is just pretending.

If you only have a few mods, or no mods, a Superchips MAX microtuner would be fine for you, and allow some "tweeking"
There is a group buy going on now in the "Innovative Interceptors" forum here

If you have many mods, or want to get a dyno tune, contact Dennis for his chip, or you can send him your EEC

I wouldn't buy a tuner or a chip off eBay
