A little bit of 007 in our MMs?

I happened to be reading some James Bond trivia the other day and discovered that the Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5 was described as "Silver Birch". I was wondering if the color name is a coincidence or if it actually is the same color as our Silver Birch MMs?

Yeah, I know Ford owned A-M for awhile, but not back in 1964 when the DB5 debuted. I'm curious as to whether the Aston "Silver Birch" is actually the same as Ford's "Silver Birch". Anyone know for certain?

GMC has a color available on their trucks by the name of "Silver Birch." It is very much a different color. It's what they called pewter for a long time.
