Zack has put his V10 engine up for sale on CVN. Man, I hate that. Sorry to see the project won't be completed.

He came across a great deal in a different direction.

Now about the shirts idea, nice touch, i'll buy one! Reminds me of the Don't feed Phil shirts that Bam Marquira (spelling?) made up. This time it could be "if you see this man -insert pic.- send him to MM.net!

I'm sure he'll comment soon enough. The V10 was all but done, even N/A it would have been a fun ride and way different than any others.

to much crap to sort through in order for it to work in a panther car. Now take that motor and put it in a street rod or a pickup truck would be much easier with alot less issues

Be a great engine for the old 1976 Country Squire station wagon I'm having refinished, eh?

Yeah, I think the problems centered around design limits on the engine which limited its rev capacity. He had it running, but didn't think he could get it up over 6,000 rpm without grenading it.

Too bad, would have been a neat project car.

It would've been a great running and sounding Crown. I love the sound of the v10 with the right exhaust, sounds like some of the exotics. I bet the available torque would've made the big Panther drive like it ought to. Guess we can only speculate...or pick up where he left off.

He had it running, but didn't think he could get it up over 6,000 rpm without grenading it.With all that power and torque, why would anyone need it to go over 6 grand? He could have used stock 3.55s or even 3.27s and had a car with plenty of power AND good gas mileage.

I agree it's a shame he wasn't able to finish it. I was looking forward to a ride... ;)

Bob,

I think he was concerned about 1/4 mile runs. From what he told me, the internals just were'nt designed for revs, but that said, a V-10 could certainly have application for a DD with some mega low-end torque.

+1 on the project, I wanted a ride in it as well. :(

From what he told me, the internals just were'nt designed for revs,Yeah, it has a pretty long crank...

Like this one...it makes 108,920 HP and 5,608,312 lb/ft of torque

at 102 RPM!!!!
