Well, drove last night in the snow and this morning through the icy conditions, I had no problems with these tires at all, just had to take it slow. Sometimes, its not the tires, its the driver. Anywho, everyone be careful. Hey DTR Mike, how's the Nittos in the conditions?

I drove on the Kumho's for two years in Rochester, NY with no problems. As you say, just have to take it easy. Good luck out there..

I drove yesterday and today with the BFGs...but I was wondering if I load my trunk up with "weight" do I have to turn off the air suspension?

I have 240 lb of sand bags in my trunk while running snow tires. Been a crappy year driving wise. Very cold, poor plowing from the local towns. Rear snows are on their final year, need replacing. I keep my air supension ON all the time.
Plus, I added headers and a 90 MM intake, so I'm putting more power back there.
Studs next winter for me. I would love to retire it from winter use, but not bloody likely.

I run Gislaved NordFrost 3 all around (215/65 and 225/70 front/rear on 16" steelies) from Nov-Apr with no problems. No extra weight in the trunk either. We're getting about 20cm today (7-8inches) and I'm not worried at all about the drive home tonight. Besides, got to get to hockey at 9:30 and not much stops me from going there except an ice storm!

You know, the first three years on these were great, I didn't need any extra weight. This year, not-so-much. I had to put the winters on early, due to bald BFs and a ticket.
It's really easy to do a burnout on snows, too easy.

I'm running summers, and have about 150 lbs. sand in the trunk, start in second, feather the gas, for the six or seven days a year it's bad, I'm extra careful, and don't go out.
