The idler pulley under the alternator and the alternator both went south this week.
I figured since the serpentine belts have almost four years of abuse, I would change them too.
I stoped at my FLAPS but they don't stock them.
I have the skinny accessory belt, (Gatorback) but I need to get the supercharger belt too.
I looked up on Gates site for the Micro V # K080510 and two are listed with the same specs
one says fleet and HD in the details, just curious if anyone knows the difference between them.
If you changed your belt what brand/model did you go with?
I saw those colored belts a while back some one posted up which are neat looking but seemed a little pricey.
Anything new out on the market that is worth a mention?

Bradley, that belt IS hard to find. When I installed the Trilogy, I had to special order the spare. Having used that one after my idler pulley adventure, I again had to special order the new spare. I'll look and see what it says on it when I get home.

OK, my spare just has the part # and says it's a "Green Stripe"...it also says "A/T" for Advanced Technology.

I think Green Stripe is the HD version of any Gates belt.

Thanks again!
I found a Gates micro V from an established E-bay seller, evidently the belt also fits 4.4L Caddy.
Jegs was over two week wait and was three times the costs.

That fleetrite belt on ebay is NOT a Gates Micro V.

Fleetrite is International Truck Divisions 'budget' line for cost conscious customers. Should work just fine though!

I have 4 of the Gates Micro-V in stock.

Not only that, but the part number on the pictured belt crosses to a K080845HD...so it's not even correct.

Another reason to be very aware of what you're buying on eBay...

Got the e-bay belt, it is correct .
Not sure which belt to use now, Gates green stripe, same as the one that came with the T-kit.
Or, the Gates HD Feet, which is all green.
That's gonna' clash with my yellow top Battery!

I think the guys in your thread on MCM already gave you the best advice.

Which advice are you referring to?
http://www.motorcitymarauders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8586
The Gatorback?
Gates green/stripe?
Gates green HD Fleet?
I was looking for personal experiences from Members that have used these products.
As expected, there are conflicting opinions, do you have any input?
You're not a two site post hater, are U Bob?

You're not a two site post hater, are U Bob?No.

What I meant to say was that since you already got advice from Tallboy, who is one of, if not THE, recognised experts on Trilogy setups, you had your answer.

When Chuck speaks, I listen. :)
