I've had my blinder M-20 extreme system up and running for months, and while we've tested it in controlled situations to make sure it's doing it's job, today was the first time it saved me from a real live ticket.
Coming up the road to my house, Motorcycle cop sitting behind an apartment complex sign. Lidar's me from about 200ft out. My Jammer mutes the stereo and goes ape crap. I wasn't expecting it and by the time I slowed down and shut off the jammer, I was staring at the cops really annoyed face looking at his gun and back at me...
I kept on rollin', he stayed put.

It's about damn time. They police in my town are Lidar happy. It's nice to turn the tables for a change.

Sweet, ... I guess I'll have to get a jammer if I'm gonna drive in Dallas!

Alan :)
Cops are people, but people I'm not particularly fond of when they're pointin' their cash grabbin' Lidar guns at me...
Radar, ok. At least I've got a sportin' chance... Lidar = No fair. :)
In fact, it was one of my LEO buddies who helped me tune the placement of my Blinder heads by bringing out a Lidar gun to play with....
Aaahhh, I need a cop friend like that!

I can attest to Logan's thread on this. I bought and installed the K-40 Laser Diffuser, and if anyone does, or has driven in Ohio, then you know all the state patrol uses Laser. I was busted several times around Columbus and on the Ohio Turnpike. The Laser Diffuser did it's job and I was able to slow down enough to get by them without being pulled over. On one occassion, a pickup pulling a horse trailer pulled to the rioght and I floored the MM to get by him quickly. Low and behold, the Laser went off, I slowed to about 70 and drove right by Mr Policeman. They work!

So when do we get to see how you mounted the blinders? :) I am wondering how you placed these and didn't have them blocked by the grille.
Also, does the blinder have a control module in the cab? If so, where did you mount it?
Thanks - those of us who wish to install same or similar systems could use the help.

I mounted them in the lower grill openings... Look close, you'll see them. Mounting behind the upper grill will drop their effectiveness quite a bit due to obstruction.

Thanks Logan! That is what I was going to guess, but I also thought of just putting them right out in the open on that little "dip" in the front bumper - right in front of the grille. Obvious, though . . ..
If yours work underneath then I think I'll give that a shot. If you ever have it tested I would be interested to know if they can cover your headlights from that angle (they go license plate first then they aim for headlights, except at night where the headlights interfere with the laser)
Thanks again!

troll,
They cover the entire front end perfectly from there. Had a PO buddy of mine borrow a speedgun from the office and we spent an hour out in the country. Out of about 20 runs, he got me once, but not before I was about 30 feet in front of him. Every other time, his gun just errored out.

That answers my question of where to install them - and they are pretty "stealthy" down there in the bumper.
Not worrying about LEOs seeing them, but more so would-be thieves.
Thanks again - you're always welcome out here for a  if you're ever traveling through. Any of you guys, for that matter.
