I was wondering if any members with spoilers can post up some pics of the spoiler attached so I can see the proper installation and how it looks. I have one on the way. Thanks.

Was behind an SRT8 300C yesterday, and noticed the spoiler was a simple upwards lip that would look good on our cars if it contoured to our body.

I'll just post a link to it instead of hijacking and going off topic posting an SRT spoiler.. but here it is

Ford did a similiar thing with the new fusion appearance package....

Whats hanging so low under the roush spoiler car????
Custom sway bar or some exhaust crossover????

Looks like the car has 3-4" of ground clearance...

Thanks for the pics guys. So its looks like the top of the spoiler needs to run flush with the top of the trunk. I'm pretty sure my local Ford dealership hasn't seen too many Marauders, so I want to make sure it gets installed correctly.

It's a sway bar. It's one of 18 Vics Bob Bonduarnt used for his high performance driving school. The Vics are nicknamed "Cobra Vics" because of the amount of Cobra Mustang parts added to the car.

If you look closely at the stock trunklid, it has a gentle "flip" at the tail edge of it. The "whale tail" OEM option spoiler is placed so that it follows that flip ever so slightly upwards.

I like that spoiler, I know the offset of the wheels is wrong, but do you have a shot of the wheels, or do you know what they are, I like the wide lip.

Thats how im going to put mine on. Im just not into the entire drilling holes thing. Being a body guy the double sided tape is very strong if you do it right.

I guess i dont understand why you would want to take a spolier off. Plus I presonally do NOT trust just the double sided tape. When it would be removed the trunk would most likely need repainting anyways, so why not just bondo over the couple of small holes and repaint anyways?

Its not the fact of so much removing the spoiler and having holes its the fact of rust that im worried about. It was also never a factory option so later on in life im worried about resale. Double sided tape would also not harm the finish under the spoiler so no need for a repaint. The biggest concern I have would be the person putting it on also because if they screw up now you have holes in ur trunk that are not needed. Also please do NOT use bondo always use a good fibberglass filler!!!

Bondo is fine, but I did generalize all body fillers as a Bondo in my comment.

It was a dealer installed option I beleive. Resale is the worst thing to worry about right now. Sorry but I doubt we will ever see it rise to what we want it to.

Im not sure twenty years down the road what will be acceptable for these cars but everything i do to mine i make sure it can go back to stock. IMOP the car will be a collectors car and the stock cars will bring the $$$

It is the same spoiler as everyone elses.

Dennis, Hotrauder, has one just like it I believe. It has just been mopdified to have LEDs in it.

there are pics of it non illuminated somewhere on here.

Why would i always use a good fiberglass filler?
It's more expensive, and harder to work with. The only time i use it is if it's somewhere that it would potentially get wet.

Welding the holes and using any regualr filler would be fine.

Rust? Where...I'm not seeing how moisture would get anywhere to make it rust...and if you were that worried...why not spray an epoxy primer on any bare metal you find/create?

I love the spoiler.
