Guys yesterday, I was sent to a workshop from work and on my way over I was close to probably loosing my car and life. As I was driving at 75 mph in cruise control, I decided to change the cd to hear a local radio station. I took my eyes of the road to change the station for a second and I don't know why but I glanced back and I saw a guy coming straight at me. He was driving on the wrong lane and he was about 3 car lengths in front of me. I just reacted by checking the slow lane and moved to it. I do not know how I did it. Lucky for me there was no car and that I did not freeze. I do not know what was wrong with that dumb-ass man cause its two lanes going one way and another pair going the other way. He just happenend to be on my lane. I escaped that one by a few inches. Luckily nothing happened just the big ass adrenaline rush that I had. If I would have not glanced at the road again I would be on my way to being six feet under and my car finished for good also.
:depress:

They sell underwear in 3 packs!!!
Glad you came out ok.
Had the same type situation twice on a bike. If I'd have been in my car, I'd not be typing now.

Good job avoiding a really bad day.
I was talking about this very topic with my assistant today. I'm surprised every road in America isn't a killing field. We have so many laws to protect us from us and yet it's so easy to obtain a drivers license.
Don't get me started on the number of repeat DUI offenders driving around...

#1MarauderFan-Glad to hear that your not hurt and that your quick reaction time saved your life . I wished that someone was traveling in the same direction as the a#%h%#e and phoned his Vehicle description and License plate #. Weather he's drunk or high , or inatentive to the road he should be removed from driveing . Driveing on the open road is a Privledge and not a Guaranteed right . the sad thing is that he will wind up doing that again and someone won't fair so fortunate . Again Im glad that you made it in one piece .

Another combination of good driving and quick response from the MM. Great job of self preservation! As for myself, I was coming home from a week long trip to New Orleans Sunday and had a "wonderful" experience. On I-75 just south of Gainesville, FL, I had the fortune of coming within 6 inches of being wiped out by a careless guy in a Dodge minivan. I was in the middle lane of a three lane section of highway and Mr. Observant was in the fast lane. As he roared around me without a care (I was already doing 83 in a 70 zone) he cut over into my lane without so much as even looking in his rear view mirror or paying attention to the vehicle that he was currently and recklessly overtaking. Needless to say the combination of quick response on my part, great stopping power of the MM, and agile accident avoidance handling really helped turn a near tragedy into a simple "story to share with my family, etc." My Marauder is simply the most enjoyable vehicle I've owned and it would have been a nightmare if things turned out differently.

PaulStasio--Welcome to the best informative site on MM . Everyone here Knows there stuff . Again Welcome and glad no one was hurt in your near mishap . :cool4:
At the risk of sounding preachy, the Lord is a great protector, and we need to remember to thank Him when we could have easily been killed, but come out without a scratch. Glad you made it out safely, #1. We need to keep all of the Texas MM's that we can!

Nothing preachy about that, Ross, good to keep Him in mind.
Over this past long weekend, I had more than a few instances where I knew I missed some unnecessary excitement. I'm sure things would have happened differently I had not been driving a MM. It's performance suspension and braking is superb under stress, and it's more than just fun to drive. The MM has to be the safest automobile on the highway.
Glad you're okay #1 MarauderFan...whew, eh?

Amen.
Glad you're OK #1. I know mine could have had a MUCH different outcome...I guess "The BIG Man" has some unfinished business for the "Ladies Choice"!

Thanks guys for the concern and yes I would agree that these cars are excellent when it comes to its handling. When I changed lanes it did not even feel like I had changed. It was a very smooth changed taking into consideration the situation I was in in that very instant. Ross u did not sound preachy its just so true what u said. The big man upstairs just works in mysterious ways. I am just glad that my car and me are fine and escaped that one without a scratch. Again thanks guys!

Congrats #1 on dodging a bullet. Nothing like a close one like that to reset your priorites! I've had so many rear end, t-bone and rollover accidents, I worked my way through high school as a crash test dummy. :)
Through the misfortunes of several members, I have great confidence my Marauder will protect me, and gladly lay down it's life for me. You've proven for us the best way to avoid an accident is the way my Karate teacher taught me - "No be there!".
The Big Guy upstairs smiles again on a Marauder owner :)

Tell me about reseting my priorities straight after what just happened to me on Tuesday. That was a close call!
