i posted a few weeks ago about a used car dealership here locally that had a black 300a for $6,999.. it had 210,xxx and was lemon law for reasons unknown. it was bought back twice by ford to try to fix the "problem"... but ford couldn't find anything wrong with it (from what i was told) ... so how would they know to put it as a lemon lay anyways if they couldnt find a problem with it i asked myself.. whatever.

drove by the dealership last night and they still had it... but with 4 DIFFERENT numbers on the windshield.... $4,990

inside and outside the car is very clean. no rust in the bottom of the doors or around the wheel wells. one of the rims is missing its godhead :(

my bud says i should go get it.. but idk....

what do you guys think? i keep forgetting to get the VIN to do a check on it.

Before you go any further you NEED to get the VIN and PM it to RoyLPita. If the car was bought back twice by Ford, and is a known lemon, you're going to want to know what all Ford's had to do to it already, and an OASIS report from RLP will provide that.

With all the info on these two MM sites, I dont think there is anything that can not be fixed.

You could buy it and part it out and get your money back.

I would buy without seeing if I lived closer.

Go for it, but forget about forced induction until you replace or rebuild the tranny, engine and rear end.

If you do buy it, I'd mentally prepare myself to purchase a new engine and transmission. At $4,000 it actually might be a deal with some new transplants or maybe not...

Almost sound too good to be true, but do more homework and get down to why she's sitting on a lot and the price is dropping. Parts will always be in demand providing you have the time and patients to deal with the countless inquiries and having to ship each piece, etc. Vehicle history need to be exposed and make your decision from there.. Good Luck !!!

sound advice! i still would think it would be a good deal though. i wish i could find something like that around here.
