A few of you know that I am purchasing Marauder rims for my Fusion. The offset and bolt pattern are the same. The factory tires that Ford puts on the fusion is a 225/45/18 witht he Sport Appearance package.
Will this size fit the Marauder rim? or is the MM rim too wide? I beleive the MM rims are 7.5" wide?
Anything will help! thanks! this is my proposed look.... Thanks to SHODUDE!!!!

MM wheel is 18x8", if you did get them put on they would be stretched like the VW guys do their tires.
Maybe not to that extreme but wouldn't look normal. Your best bet would be to get 235/50-18 IF they will fit without rubbing.

Found someone who put 18x7.5" Ford Edge wheels on theirs. Tire size is 225/45-18

Borrow someone's front MM wheels with tires and try them out
Sounds good, but with a 235/50 Im guessing thats a lot of tire to fit under a Fusion........

225/45-18 .3" bigger than your stock 205/60-16 tires so your speedo would read about 1.1 mph slower than your actually going at 60 mph.
Also have the option of 235/45-18, get a tad bit more width and is 1.4" bigger over stock size = almost 2 mph slower reading speedo. Don't know if your going to get a tune or hand held for your car to correct it.

Im not worried about 1mph off.
My 255/55/18s did that to the Marauder too. The speedo already reads 3mph fast, as do most cars to ensure you are "speeding"
Chris, is there an honest concern runnning these rims and tires on the Fusion?
What about a 235/40-18? more width, less height.... 1.4" doesnt seem too big, but we all know how that can turn out. It could look like an urban assalt Fusion. Like your winter package on your MM Chris lol

He has 18x8.5 rims on it... im not concerned so much about spacing anymore because he had to even drop it to get them tight fitting.
Plus he has some cool exterior mods

I'm sure the 225/45-18 will fit fine but if you remember your front wheels the front tire did not bulge over the side of the rim at all. If it was me I would go for the 235/45-18, gives you a good tread width and a little extra sidewall to ensure the tire will fit well.

The offset on his wheels are different than stock, those wheels have some close to a zero offset from the looks of them. The MM wheels have a fair amount of positive offset.
Just shop around and do your research and see what all the other fusion/mazda6 owners combos are.

Chris, the 225/45/18 tire is 8.83" wide.... it should mount up fine. I dislike a LOT of aftermarket rims and would not like to spend too much money. The MM rims i found were priced perfectly and darn near perfect.
