I just noticed today that I have a loud clicking coming from the front end of the Big Black Car. I checked the tires for a nail or any kind of damage and found none. It stops clicking asa I pick up speed and stops all together around 20 mph. COuld this be a bearing or something else? I'm going to take it up to my pops house on sunday and take the fronts tires off to see if I can see anything wrong. Any input will be much appreciated...

Pul the center caps and see if it still happens.

check the lugnuts. The covers could be coming off.
I agree re: loose lugnuts. Had it happen once, only heard the clicking at slow speeds (while circling in the parking garage at work).

Check the parking brake assemblies also.

I had a low speed clicking and it turned out to be the parking brake. It drove me nuts for a time (not that you could tell the difference.)

Well gentlemen, I took the car up to Dads and checked her out. Lugnuts are all tight and the e brake is fine. But, there is severe leaking from the rear end coming out from both ends (left and right side). It looks like the seals have gone out. I'll be making an appointment at the Stealership tomorrow morning. Could this be a good time to throw the 4:10's in as well? I'll have to get a price quote on that.

Hack, what year is your MM? My 04 was leaking from the right side and when torn down, left too. Luckily it was only seals, but IIRC 03s may have other issues when this happens. I'm fortunate that my local dealership is reasonable on price and charge me only flat rate, not book. Bring donuts for their break, they will appreciate it.

Check your CV joints.
Sudden failures of constant velocity joints are rare, but CV joints do wear out and may fail as a result of loss of lubrication or grease contamination (usually due to a failed boot). A CV joint that is failing usually produces various symptoms:
A popping or clicking noise when turning. This almost always indicates a worn or damaged outer CV joint. A quick way to verify this condition is to put the car in reverse, crank the steering wheel to one side and drive the vehicle backwards in a circle (check the rearview mirror first!). If the noise gets louder, it confirms the diagnosis and the need for a new joint or replacement shaft assembly.

Most likely you won't be able to get the dealership to install the gears. Most of them won't.

CV joints on a Marauder?

I used to have a really good relationship with the Service manager. Unfortunately they changed things around and he quit. The old manager would have put them in for me. I'll check to see if the new guy will. If not "oh well."

Rayjay, sorry I missed your post.. its an 03'
Well I got a call yesterday from the service manager. The rear end seals did go out. Evidently they had been leaking for quite a while but it wasn't enough to notice so there was next to no fluid in the rear end. They are going to check out the gears to make sure they are still okay. The clicking noise I was hearing was the parking brake. The oil had gotten into the brake pads and ruined them, and wrecked my brakes all together. Looking like a big chunk out of my pocket book to fix it.
