I was there with my Marauder...hung out after the races with a buddy who always met me up there to drag race over the years.
We were the last few people to leave the parking lot.

Kept hearing that the track was going to be 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile.

It's confirmed 75 & 80 will be only a 1/8th mile track because the other half end would cost too much money to fix right now. Possibly as time goes on they may make it a 1/4 mile track.

1/8 is better than 0/4. Index racing is a lot of fun too, if you're near the index that is.

AW JEEZ!.....

Who cares about the 1/8 mile!....That's right when our 4 valves start to 'stretch their legs'.
If I had a 500 cube engine with 4.56 gears that would be great....
I'll pass on any 1/8 mile racing.
Back to Capitol and the Ricers.

I'm interested in going out here one of these weekends. I've never (legally) drag raced at one of these strips. what's the best day to go if all I want to do is just see what my mm can do?

Mebot, where in the big VA are you?

Northern VA, I live in Loudoun County, but I work in Fairfax. Which is kinda funny, cos my MM is a daily driver and I kinda half expect someone to see me around and post in the Marauder spotting' thread.

but then again i've seen my fair share of MMs around Northern VA and I don't post in that thread.... so I guess that's kinda karma, lulz

Oh yes I'm familiar with Old Dominion, I used to take my '68 Cougar there during high school, but I never raced it.

I'd love to go out there with my Marauder, but unfortunately I've got my soccer league Mondays and Wednesday nights. If we have a bye one week, I'll let you know! Thanks for the response!
