Tuning for 4.10 gears

I have a standing offer to have 4.10s installed by a Ford Master Tech who has access to just about any Rotunda tool/device out there. Can he reprogram the cars computer for 4.10s or must I have it done on my chip?

Was afraid of that. Chip was purchased in 04 and car has been custom dyno tuned twice since then. I guess it will become a permanent fixture if I do 4.10s.
