I'd pimp this up and down the block.

Did anyone watch them build this thing? I was not impressed and if I remember right it was a rushed build that hit a lot of snags. Nice car but not for that price.

The wheels are horrible looking. Nice car, worth about 25k.

Barry White speed shop built it and it was for sale at Volo a few months back for $90,000 if i remember right. This car was done very nicely.

This must be a different car then, the one I was thinking of was on a show called rags to riches I think???? But it was like a pimp my ride show where they found plain jane cars rusted or not and then put them together to flip and make fast cash.

Same show. Wheels are NASCAR standard for that period.

Same show but look at the parts they put in. They use nothing but top shelf on their cars. Yeah i agree they bust them out too quick, but there is countless "man" hours that go into these. Just think four guys sanding, body work, and so on for 24 days in a month working 10 hr days=960 hrs. This is what they don't disclose when they brag about profits, remember they need to keep your interest with unreality. If i had $55,000 i'd buy it. Or at least build my own.

But done in billet aluminum.

Hmm, I didn't take notice of the wheels until I just looked. Why would they do such a thing? Takes away from the authenticity.

I think it is a structurally beautiful car and I've no doubt it would cost one of us every penny of what they are asking to turn an old MM into this kind of show piece. What I really can't abide, though, are the garish decals. Either make it a truly authentic piece and put on period perfect graphics (say, Pike's Peak, Nascar, Something...) or just give it a nice paint job. Splashing the name and horsepower across it just looks horrible.
If they'd repaint it, I'd says its worth at least 30 grand. Probably that engine alone is a ten thousand dollar piece. They fail to show the undercarriage, though, which makes you wonder how much attention was paid to areas the typical customer can't see.

I almost bought a 63 1/2 red MM a couple years ago. Base one with a 390CI 4 barrel. The guy wanted too much for it as it needed work. Still, if I had and painted DTR ??? That would be cool. I think he still has it. I'll check in the spring.
