Can anyone tell me why all the photos of the taxi I uploaded on to this site got removed? I wasn't really sure where to post this....

Are you sure .... there are now two galleries ... one labeled "Photos" and the other labeled "Gallery". Lots of my old pics showed up in the "Photo" section when they were brought over from the archive. I can't upload any more or delete some --- but they are there. :rolleyes:

"Marc from Alternative Automotive", has been deleted. Some reasons for photo deletions include:

-Images that were partially uploaded/incomplete
-Broken images
-Extremely poor quality/images (impossible to make out the image itself)
-Images that did not conform to our published site contribution and usage guidelines such as offensive images

I am sure I am not the only other one, but I got about 20+ of those messages last night, too. I am not exactly sure what pictures are missing, but trying to decipher the messages I am thinking they are all older ones that had actually been up there for quite some time, but yet other older ones are still showing in my gallery...

Mystery solved but we're looking further. Seems one can delete others' pictures, which should not be the case. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A REMINDER: Please select Member Galleries for the location of your photos. They'll be filed under your screen name. No need to create a new folder.

Unintentionally, yes. They thought they were just arranging their view of pictures, deleting some from their view only. They didn't realize they were dumping the pics altogether. Mistakes happen....we're still learning the new setup.

Not a problem. I think the ones I got notifications on were old ones anyway that I should have removed for clean up anyway...

I got the message last night, too. I guess they don't Hurricane Wilma damage pics.

I think the ones I received messages on were linked to threads as pictorial instructions on modifications. I doubt that I have them any more.
