18x9 out back with 255/55/18 40mm offset.
Thanks in advance!

Front will move about 12mm outboard. S/B fine
Back will move 10mm + 12mm(1/2") or 22mm (nearly an inch) outboard
Back inner will move -10mm + 12mm or 2mm in
In other words, it should look wide and mean, but don't lower it.
I have no problem making a rear quarter adjustment if needed.
Thanks for the help!

I know what the blasted offset is. I wanted to know the backspacing....
Zack tried to help. Thanks to him.
Magindat, I am putting MM wheels on my Fusion.
We all know that the MM wheel is 18x8. Has a 50mm ofset.
The stock Fusion rims is 18x7.5. Has a 45mm offset.
I want to know the backspacing of the MM wheel so I can determine what size spacer I need to run. I will try to find the backspacing of the Fusion wheel.

You have the offset, backspace should be right around 1/2 the width plus the offset.... OH for or wheel that's about 6"

So, my math says that I will need about a 19/64th spacer:P to make the MM wheel clear the same amount as the stock Fusion 18" wheel. Or i could go with a 7/16 and be .0125 off....
Is that too much spacer??

I don't know what back space is or what off set you'll need but I like the pic with the Fusion with the photo shopped MM wheels on it,I think if it gets dropped about 1 inch in the front from what I see in the pic it'd look darn good.
BTW,I have 16" Fusion full wheel covers on my Crown Vic P71 that were put on by the previous owner and it sure looks different, more than a few people thought they mags and not plastic wheel covers.

Now I get it. You don't need the BSS...
The wheel will simply be 1/4" wider out and in. Meaning 1/4" out and 1/4" in within about 2mm error. For that little bit, it will become a matter of sizing the tires properly - which I can also help with!
You won't need a spacer at all.
Of note, i use an 18x7.5@45 on the front of my car. So this is one I REALLY know!

Don't forget to subtract the lip. BSS counts the bead, offset does not.

Neglecting the bead/lip is probly why you came up with a spacer needed.
You won't need a spacer and shouldn't use one if you can avoid it.
Wheel/tires ordered, they are gonna be the best looking rim on a MM to date

20" wheels are no good for me, especially when I do John Force Burnouts.
I need rear tires that are $110 a piece or less.
Needless to say I stuck with 18" Wheels :D

Rich,
The stock Fusion runs a 225/45/18.... I was going to run the same tire on the Fusion... your thoughts?
What I bought does not have 5 spokes and looks NOTHING like the stock wheel.

225\45\18 is going to look anemic on a marauder rim
245\40\18 is the answer provided you have clearnce. It will be about 1/2" wider both in and out at the sidewall.

Thats too much, I would have to run a spacer then.
