I don't know if anyone else checked their gas mileage consumption while going to Ennis but I got 25.1 MPG from New Orleans to Shreveport and 25.4 from Shreveport to Ennis while following the caravan. Maybe that's why I only achieved a 14.9 at the track. Does high gas mileage=less performance?????

Don,
I just checked my gas slips. I got 22.5 mpg on the same run from Shreveport to Wilmer, TX.
I run 14.751 with a chip & 4:10's.
Nice mileage....I think you slide though the air better because your car is SO clean & shiny :D

I only got 19.7 average both ways. I'm running a chip, underdrives, denso plugs, cooler 'stat, and 4.10s. Spent probably 80-90% of the time between 85 and 90 mph.

First of all let me say what a pleasure it was meeting you!

I got 20.5 average throughout the trip, programed for 92, got worse MPG using 94 rather than a lower grade, and even worse using 104. Go figure. Even confused Dennis.

4:10's and chip. Best 1/4 was 14.703 with a cold engine on 104.

Lowest was 19.5, highest was 23.4. That was doing close to (and sometimes over) triple digit speeds both ways. It was a big smile weekend all the time....

I will have to ask the Transporter what kind of mileage I got to and from Ennis!

On the other hand, for some reason, in Ennis itself my mileage was much lower than usual. I do not know what caused that though....

While all of you were out in TX, I was in Colorado Springs for the Fallen Firefighter memorial. My worst tank was 22.8 MPG driving thru the mountains, and my best was 23.9 driving on the highway at 80 MPH. I am pretty happy with that.
