To buy a 03 or 04 ?

Wondering whay you all think is the tranny and knock sensors realy worth it GOD I LOVE THIS CAR sold my Lightning new baby in the house had to go but the Marauder is for me.have had 9 Mustangs many COBRA's and many supercharged and of course my MM will be to....ps. enjoy your ride this weekend if not drop it by my house...have a great safe weekend......and try to cheer up Fourth Horsemen...his MM is still waiting to be fixed....:)

Buy a 2004 if you can....most of the "bugs"
have been worked out by now.
Tranny and Knock Sensor's are a plus,
Radio upgrade too.
Nothing like a new FRESH Marauder!

Personally I love my 2004 and I loved the 2003's that I test drove.

They are very similar, however, the 2004 is quicker and much smoother on the low end. The car does not lag from the start and the shifting is very smoothe.

Other than that, the cars are mechanically the same.

If you plan on a new chip for a 2003, you will end up with a better low end than the factory 2004.

If you don't plan to mod the chip, I would go for the 2004.

I can't believe Ford would make any significant (read: costly) changes to a car that was being discontinued after the current MY...the transmission improvement and 2nd knock sensor are incremental changes, just like the ECM updates...if you already have an '03 that you're happy with, then as Paul said, a chip or any of the other mods will most likely out-perform an '04 by a fair amount, and will cost you quite a bit less than the bath you'll take trading in or selling your current ride.

If, OTOH, you just want a new car all over again, or have real issues with your present car, I'm sure you'll be happy with the '04...

A chip and 4.10's on a 2003 will obviously outperform a stock 2004..... you may be able to get a better deal on a leftover 2003 that hasn't sold yet...

Hi AZ Supercharged,if I were you I'd buy a blue '03 (not made anymore in blue) or wait for when the '04 comes out with a moon roof in January(Do a factory order now).Burgundy with the black interior looks gorgeous for 2004.
Just a thought!
