View Full Version : Wiring Harness Issue??

What is the reported issue with wiring harness? I can't seem to find the thread that documents a fix or what to watch for. Just a lot of concern within the community early on.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Please and thanks!

It has to do with a 'chafing' problem to the harness as it goes behind the engine on drivers side.

Guys, don't forget there is also the possibility (like mine was) of wire chaffing on pass side (upper rear side of cylinder head) where it comes in contact with a large wire harness coming from the back side of motor.

Could be anything, depending on which wire shorted first.

In my case (driver's side harness), it was the PCM power feed that grounded to the chassis. POOF no more PCM fuse, no more cranking or sign of life from the 4.6, and 1 stranded family on vacation. :mad:
