Found another Marauder in the March issue of Modified Mustangs and Fords. This one was at the Fun Ford Weekend at the Bristol Speedway. It is black with fender badges and a big sticker in the drivers back window, parked with the speedway in the background between 2 red late 60's stangs. its on page 103

Merc and Sherm have made it to FFW at Bristol for the past couple years.

I will try to scan the page tonight, there is nothing special to define whos black MM it is other than the fender badges and a big sticker or some kinf in the back side window (sponsor maybe?) But who ever it was should know by the picture as the car is in between two beautiful red mustangs!

Neither Merc nor Sherm have fender badges that I recall. Merc has a "Harley Davidson" emblem on the right of his trunk.

In scanning through the pics, nearly every car including Blown 3.8, Sherm and Merc had that "Tremec" sticker on the rear driver window including most of the Mustangs. Don't think this mystery is solved yet.

Bristol 2008 was an endurance race for Pam & I. We departed Manassas at 8:30 and arrived at the hotel at 2:00 a.m. We get up 3 hours later to change tires and empty the trunk. We meet up with Sherman and family, eat breakfast and proceed to the track. We run the true street competition and leave the track at 6:00 PM. After a restful night sleep we detail the car and enter the cars show Sunday. After the award creamery at 4:00 we arrive back home around 11:00 P.M. What a marathon weekend.

Why does it have a Tremec sticker on the window? Is it a manual?!

Tremec is the sponsor of the True Street competition, Saturdays event. The sticker is required to be placed on the drivers side. The reason why I kept the sticker is to indicate that this is a race driven car not a single purpose show car. I am usually the only car that races and shows his/her car at FFW Bristol.
