Do they add any hp or just help the car handle better?

Is this a serious question? Since the control alrs have nothing to do with the enginer it is going to be really hard for them to add any hp. The handling improvements are awsome through.

Yeah... the Metcos add about 10hp because they are shiney.

M&Z's only add about 8hp because they are black.

They help you control whatever hp you have.

I was asking because some guy came up to me at the gas station. He tried tell me that control arms would add more at least 10 more hp to my car. I was really thinking :bs: but I didn't say anything because it was snowing and I was trying to get home.

How many hp do you think my new "Powered by Ford" coil covers are worth. I was hoping for at lease 3 per side (4 if I had used thumb screws instead of the stock bolts).

First off never let you gaurd down.

Second look for a new gas station.

I sure hope the attendant put the correct grade of gas in the tank?

Perhaps he meant it would lower your 60' times and let you use more of what you allready have more efficiently.

He wasn't posting to be a smarta$$ like some of the trolls we've had out here from time to time. He asked because he didn't know.I've heard dumber questions and have even asked some of them myself.
I always heard the only dumb question was the one you didn't ask.
Being as he's only 16 I think we're doing good having him here interested in learning more about "our" car and not playing with the sport compacts, who knows,in ten years he may have his own shop and be doing total frame off restorations on our Marauders if we help him with some good answers to his questions.
No slam to anybody, but think about it,if he was your son or nephew what kind of answer would you give him or want someone else to give him? Just my $.02

A kid has no place in one of these cars.:mad2:

When I started out it was in Dad's Dodge Dart...how much trouble can you get in with a slant 6? :bigcry:

Parents should think more about what they let the kids drive...

Do they add any hp or just help the car handle better? No HP increase as such, but they help get your HP to the ground.

Depends on how hard you can launch without burning up the tires, your gears, torque converter etc... If you can shave 1 tenth off your 60' that's 2 tenths in the quarter. Should be able to do that minimum unless you launch like my grandma' :D
