Hi all, This is my first post here. I want a marauder.
I am 21 years old and I bring home between $425-$500 a week. Ilive with my parents the only bills I have are insurance and car payment. I have one car loan out with $1100 left on it. Good credit and I own 2 credit cards.
Will the dealer let me get a Marauder without a co-signer, if not how about with a co-signer.
And how much would I be paying a month on this car payment.
I just don't want to waste my time at the dealership trying to buy a car they won't let me buy
Thanks Josh

Josh, here are some figures since I don't know what your down payment would be. A 5 year loan at 5.5% .
Finance amount.
$34,000----- monthly payment $650
$32,000------monthly payment $611
$30,000------monthly payment $573
$28,000----- monthly payment $534
$26,000----- monthly payment $497
Something to consider, will you be living with your parents for the life of the loan? Best of luck. :) :) :)

In order to get a loan at a low rate (5% or even 0% ) your credit has to be EXCELLENT and you will need to verify your income. try Peoplefirst.com......

I know a couple people used PeopleFirst.com, but I do not recomend them. Not only was their application too lengthy, when I talked to them on the phone, they were real snippy with me. Because of address conflict, they rejected me. I went to E-Loan.com, not only was their application shorter, but I was approved instantly, no questions asked. Got 4.85% for 60 months through them. Took that up to the dealership, and they matched it for me! So, I canceled that loan and went through Ford Credit. I wrote a couple nasty letters to PeopleFirst.com... people first my @$$...

umm... as far as I know, you apply, tell them how much you want. Print out some papers and take them to the dealership. They then call them, get a verification code, then you can have the car. Kind of a "check's in the mail" type thing. Then you make payments to them. Simple enoph...

cool... so it's not like lending tree where they submit your application to 500 banks and see if one bites.......

Nope. What they think you're qualified for is what you get. I really doubt you'd get to haggle with them either, but you could try. Like I said, I got 4.85% for 60 months which is damn good considering my credit union wanted to give me 5.6%, no haggle. I was like WHA?!?!

I personally like Ford Credit. Easy apps, easy to qualify and decent rates. Financed my last four cars through them.

I like Ford Credit too. This is the first new car I have ever owned and found the entire process very easy. As a matter of fact I did the entire process online. After getting my approval the next day, I took it straigt to the Ford dealer where all they had to do is pull it up on their computer and print out the paperwork.
I was able to get Ford Credit Corp to finance @4.9% for 6 years. As far as I am concerned, they bent over backwards to meet my needs. This is my first NON Chevy car. But if this car, and Mercury support is an accurate indicator of owner care, it will NOT be my last. I am VERY happy with the way FoMoCo credit handled the app and terms, and the way the dealer/sales moved the paperwork through fast.

My advise (believe me, I'm speaking from experience) is don't by a MM until you can afford the car and the insurance. From now until the end of this year, there is $2,000.00 cash back or three years at zero percent interest on the MM. I negotiated both, so I'm a happy camper.
My payments are right at 900.00/mo. You may want to work two or three jobs and save your money. Then, you can get one with no sweat becasue of the downpayment you would have saved up from all that hard work.
Good luck and keep the dream alive until it works!!!
I have to agree with what others posted. I have a 96 Impala SS which I paid $19,900 for 2 years ago. My actual payment a month is $438.54. I pay $450 or $500 everytime. But I'll tell ya, I don't make a lot of money and finances are tight after I make my payment sometimes. It may be better to wait awhile until the re-sale drops.
It's tough, I understand. I really, really, really want a '70 GTO, and I've passed on a couple simply because right now, it's not the best thing financially to do.
From my experience co-signing should be left alone. Money can bring out the worst in people.

I'd go talk to a dealer. Be upfront about your situation and know how much you can afford when you go in. Also find out how much your insurance would be before hand. The right dealer is there to help.
I like Ford Creidt too - and was pre-approved. But they'd only go 4.9 for 60 months. The dealer got me 4.7 with Wachovia bank. Some sort of delaer wholesale deal. Or so they said.
If it doesn't work out - there are already a few used MMs showing up...
