Marauder Mod #2: Lidio Tune

Loaded the tune Lidio provided me into the car today and all I can say is WOW!!!!!:banana2:

It's NIGHT & DAY faster, it just pulls and pulls and pulls, then when you think it's all over it pulls some more!!:burnout:

I got it sideways twice already today, before it would barely break tire!!

And as for transmission...again, WOW! I think Ford should just put Lidio in charge of programming the cars from the factory. Because THAT is how they should have been. The shifting and overall trans feel was my biggest gripe with the car...Lidio's tune took it from

From what I understand, 4:10 gears and a more aggressive tune were originally planned for the cars, but CAFE requirements canned them as production items.

Do you still have the 3:55 gears in it? Get a set of 4:10s to go along with that tune and then see the difference; whole new car. :up:

That's next...I had Lidio load 3 tunes into the SCT unit.

1- stock 3:55's
2- stock 4:10's
3- full exhaust & bolt-ons & 4:10's

I have a Lidio 4.10 tune waiting in my XCal as well. One of these days I'll get to it. I remember when I first drove the car after installing the 3.55 tune. Simply awesome.

1 wheel peel? You may have more problems besides needing a tune, you sure they both don't spin?

+1 you have LSD issues. All stock Marauders come with a LSD in it.

Yes all Marauders have a LSD, Ford calls it "Traction-Lok"

There is a very good rebuild/upgrade kit available from FRPP.
It's the "Cobra" carbon fiber rebuild kit.

Too DONK for me, I'm more into the muscle look and I'm sure those rims hinder the performance. I like the stock rims, I just wish they were 19's or 20 inch... Whatever makes you happy. BTW is that Camp Doha where you're parked at?

Donk?? :bs: You must not know what a "donk" is to make that comment. 22x9 42lb wheels on factory ride height is not a "donk" bud. But, I'll let that ride since you didn't know. And no, they don't hinder performance any. My car is for the street, won't see a drag strip(which by the way is the only track a Marauder could perform). Not gonna dwell on it.

^^^ You're right, I really don't know what DONK is and after seeing that example, I don't care to know what it is. I like the stock rims, but wish they were just a little bit bigger, well enjoy! ^^^

^^^^Roger that....I saw a set of 20s the other day that were almost identical to the stock wheels, but had a lip. I liked those, but I'm not a big chrome fan. I tried it, just not my style. So, I changed it. Alot better now to me, and I could drop it but the speedbumps here are ridiculous....I have an even worse issue with my mini!!
