I know what you guys in the frozen north will say, but we were driving Reba to dinner yesterday, and I noticed that I had no AC. At idle, turning it on and off does change engine rpm, but no fan, no air, nothing. :(
We did notice a loud popping noise the other day, and didn't know where that came from, but the air still worked. I just hope it's nothing major. She only has 39k on her.
Until I get it fixed, I will just have to roll my window down and listen to my muffler deficient exhaust system. :)

Most cabin temp problems can be traced to this lil' fella

Find him behind your passenger side valve cover.

Sorry to hear that your AC took a dive, lord knows we need it year round down here. But on the lighter side, if you need any major AC components I have the entire 03 setup That's waiting for a new home at down low Florida prices, from compressor to evaporator.

My Crown vic has cabin temp issues, it only blows out 90 degrees no matter what temp I select.
What exactly am I looking at in the pic?

Find him behind your passenger side valve cover. You were correct sir! I had a local shop replace it this morning, and it's working fine again. Thanks to you and the others that replied, for your help.

What it cost and how long did it take to do? I hope thats whats wrong with my car and not the blender door. The service manager quoted me $140 for the part and labor right after they had diagnosed the problem. He said the book showed .9hr to replace that particular part.
I had an oil change and stuff also done, and the labor charges weren't broken out. The invoice showed $61 for the part, so I'm guessing the labor was around $80, just based on his first estimate.
This was not a LM dealership, but a shop that I have dealt with for quite some time. I was there for about an hour and a half, and they even had to send someone out to get the part. I didn't think that was too bad.
Hope this helps.

Well I dont think thats my issue then. In fact I ran the self test today and now the A/C works and I can adjust the temps again. My friends always said that Fords fix themselves, I believe this to be true.
