So the other day when I was cruising around at lunch time, I so happened to get lined up next to a new red SRT-8 challenger.

I have seen these come through the shop, I know they are no slouch.
I still felt I had to give it a shot.
We get stopped at a red, both 1st in line in each lane, light turns green, I dont go for reaction time cause he had no idea i wana run, I see him leave normal out of the corner of my eye so I do the same.

I know he can hear the exhaust and I see his fender edge in front of me, then fall, then edge in front again, so I open it up through 1st gear and stop.

He was now where in beside me, as luck would have it, we hit the next light.

He pulls up, kinda laughing with his old lady with him. So older guy with a brown leather jacket and a gody gold watch on.

so the next light turns green I have it manually in 1st and roll with him, waiting........

Nothing all the way to 25 MPH so I saw screw it, hammer the pedal and bark 2nd gear, and then he turns off.

Now I know he would have put it to the floor, I would have lost, but im kinda pissed that.... 1) he has an SRT-8 and woulnt even put his foot in it
and 2) wouldnt try the black sedan that wanted to play. Oh and 3) has more money than me, what a bastard:mad2:

Oh well I guess, Im just kinda antsy for a little red light running now that spring is kinda here and we have had a couple of rains to get rid of the sands and salts.

Real pretty! Took a picture of it on my cell and told Mr. Man I was real tempted.

Honestly, some MMs eat SRT-8 for lunch and more. They are not that fast if you have the right mods. http://www.motorcitymarauders.com/forums/images/smilies/up.gif

Nothing ventured nothing gained:dunno:

I run anything and everything. BTW, I feel your pain with the Charger knuckle-heads not playing. I was on the expressway and saw 3 sweet chargers this morning, red R/T, red SRT-8 and a yellow super bee and all three were heading the other way so I could not even try to get the egged on.

If you ran him and won, more power to ya, if you lost.....well hopefully you had fun :D

I kinda know were you are coming from! had a 08-Stang on the highway and I tried to mess with him and he kinda laughed thinking I had a Stock Marauder which he would beat
kinda iritated me so I slowed in traffic to about 30 and nailed it. needless to say he kinda figured out that he was no match for me! I just tuned my car & it is putting down 486 on a kinda conservative tune so it is no slouch.
The chargers around me wont even look over cant get any of them to fight back.

There was a Challanger SRT-8 at MIR a couple of months ago. He was running 13.5. Not that quick.

Constantly!
The other night going to see TJA Tom, Two youngens were in a STI Subi I rolled past them in the slow lane and Grabbed a quick and hearty downshift.
The passenger looks over at me like he has to "P", he is so excieted.
I hear the turbo spit up as he tries to get closer.
Once we got side by side again, I hung back to make room.
I'm thinking, "If I jump first, I may keep it respectable"
So with that from a 20-30mph roll, I hammer the loud pedal to the matt,
and much to my surprise I pulled on the lil' bugger bad!
The next signal that stops us, has him rolling his window down and making excuses, cause he has a new motor and can't rev past 4K.:bigcry:
I said
"Not Too Bad for a eight year ole' & hundred thousand mile tank!"
