With having all the brass fittings and the sending unit it takes up ALOT of space. Or is this an electric guage only task? I'm gonna atleast try to repipe it to fit. So has anyone completed this task?

I have the electric one....it has the sender mounted under the hood so all you have to do is run the wire into the A-pillar!!
Works fine for me.....for about 4 years now!!:banana2:

What sending unit? the nylon tube is the sending unit. And yes I have had mine in since 05, it will fit fine, either way you have to cut the pillar to run the lines

Where my nylon tube comes in there is a tee fitting with a two wire sending unit.

justbob, that's a pressure switch for the BAP. It closes when boost reaches 5 psi (IIRC) and turns on the BAP. It can be located anywhere in the line. I bought a gauge plumbing kit from NAPA and put the tee and the switch behind the driver's kick panel so only the nylon tube and the gauge illumination wire need to go up the pillar and into the pod.

Thanks Bob! I was just reading through my Trilogy book and saw this, I was also thinking this could be placed anywhere with compression fittings. Then i read your post!
Thanks for the input. Bob

Always glad to help another Bob... :D
I took out my stock gauges and put my ultralight 2 BOOST & TRANS temp down there.
I personally didnt want any gauges on the dash or A pillar.
Wanted mine to be a sleeper. :sleepy: :snore:

As is mine, my guage is on the pillar as well. Now if I can figure a way to my pulley to clear the hoodliner.
