I have a Ford Remote start alarm on the Marauder....I just recently noticed that the a/c or heater is not on when I remote start it....but when I put in the key and turn it while the car is on the a/c or heater will then come on...I have always been able to heat or cool the car using the remote start and now this.....also while I was trying to figure out if anything else was wrong, I remote started it from inside the car with the door closed....then put in the key and turned the key to the run position and tap the brake, the alarm goes off like its supposed to but the car stays running....

Any one have thoughts or opinions as to what could be the problem?

Thanks,

Mike

They might have installed it with T-Taps or Scotchlocks and they DO come loose sometimes. Obviously it's NOT a car problem. My advice - drop the knee bolster and wiggle a few connections while it's in remote start mode. The car will run without this wire hot. The HVAC controls, the radio/wipers, and the ignition/fuel system are all on separate systems and the car will run without the HVAC curcuit hot. If you need further clarification of what to do - PM me and I will try to help all I can.

There are fuses inside the OEM alarm/remote start that will/can blow. These are inline with the ACC line they splice into when installed. Sounds like it might have blown. Pull down the box, open the hatch and look inside at the fuses.
