DTR with a carriage roof, what a tragedy!

Wasn't sure where to post this, I haven't seen this car since my days of working at a Lincoln-Mercury dealer, back in 04-05. But I ***** you not, there was a DTR Marauder that someone put on a carriage roof like you would put on a GM. I couldn't believe my eyes. All the techs were making fun of it. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that thinks that looks like complete ASS and ruined a perfecly good Marauder. I'm not sure what the owner was thinking, that it looked good or he was an old timer that was upsold to the Marauder as a fully loaded GM and sold a vinyl roof on top of it. Just curious if anyone in Mass saw that car or there are more MM'S that have been degraded like this. I'm not bashing carriage roofs, but in my opinion they do not belong on a Marauder. Couldn't find any pics online of this car or any other one like it.

That must've been one that sold unsold for a long time becuse they though they could scalp the price on it and the sales manager finally got tired of seeing it and had that top put on it to move it.I'd bet either some codger that couldn't get a RWD Buick finally bought it,or a local independent pharmaceutical salesman did. At least they didn't put Superfly lights and grille on it,I guess.
The only good part is that whole top is one piece of fiberglass that can be removed and the top can be re finished,but that ain't cheap to do,although if you have decent body work and painting skills it might be a good way to pick up a low mile MM in a few years that ain't been beat on.
Still fugly right now though.
