is youre stang a 4.6 stoked w/ SOHC it looks good the reason I ask it seems to me that the SOHC motor is more accepting of a cam than the DOhC Motors the guys do cam them but from what I have seen it is a case of going with GT cams not some big aggressive cam. Of course youres didnt seem like it had that much lift on it if I was hearing right. there is a couple people here that have aftermarket cams. One that I know of he is running Crower cams not sure what duration though. It is a good question I have wondered about I have a fox body Stang with a 525 lift cam in it sounds awesome just not practical for the street.. it is a 1/4 car

Since the topic is up, what advice could anyone give on the FRPP high-lift DOHC cam set? I saw it up on their online catalog a little while back and thought that might be the way I want to go if I get a set of hot cams for my Marauder. What major tuning modifications would I have to make after they are in for the motor to at least run stable? Would an adjustment of idle be the only thing or would serious tuning modification be needed to get the car to at least run reliably without a risk of killing itself?

The FR500 cam kit is designed to work with their intake. I've heard the gains arn't that impressive untill around 6000rpm+. Also with an MM you'd need at LEAST a 4.56 gear.

I put a set of Crower 'Baja Beast' cams in my engine when I rebuilt it.
They have just a little more duration, but more lift than the OEM cams.
I didn't want to kill my low end torque, especially in a small CID, heavy automatic transmission car.
