This is Marylandrauder's son here.

I went to change the PCV Valve today, I was able to unscrew the PCV from the engine. I could not for the life of me get the PCV out of the plastic tube that it was sitting in. I tried pulling it out, even using some oil to try to get between where the PCV sits in the plastic hose. I eventually just gave up.

I did not want to bust anything, does anyone have any ideas, I do not have a vise which would have been handy, maybe I need to find someone who has a vice, or can I just get the plastic hose that the PCV sits in from the dealer.

If anyone has been succesful at getting the PCV out of that plastic hose, Please let me know.

Pull Pull and Pull some more!!!! Thats the only way I got mine out. I dont think you have to worry about breaking anything since you are replacing it anyways.

I used a hair dryer, but it was still tough. Just keep working at it. You'll need to heat it up again to install the new one, too.

I used a heat gun and made quick passes over it while tugging on it like all hell, finally came loose after the plastic tube started to soften up a little bit.

Maybe a squirt of PB Blaster and then heat heat heat?

Heat the hose with a heatgun, use a small screwdriver, insert it between the hose and the pcv and shoot some WD40 where the screwdriver is, turn the hose to make sure the WD40 come all around and the hose still not sticked on the pcv, while still turning pull the hose out. The hose should go out snugly without using too much force.

Good luck

Go to Advance Auto and look at their PCV valve display and get one with the NEW plastic right angle connector in the package....buy it and use the angle connector....throw the PCV valve away.....$4.00 or so and you have a NEW angle connector!!

Wonder why you cannot but this piece separately??

Thanks, and yes I cannot buy this piece seperately, I would have to spend $45.00 for the whole assembly.

I will go over there tonite or tommorow, so this plastic right angle connector is just like ours.

Do you remember the part number, or was this an aftermarket PCV Valve for a Marauder. Its getting late so I will be going over tommorow morning.

Changed mine about a month ago. Twist it many many times really really fast then pull and twist at the same time. It will eventually come off. Then you'll have to warm up the new one to get it on. Use a little spray lube also.

PCV Valves on the MM dont go bad.
(By all means please post up if you have had one go bad!)
Carb choke cleaner and call it a day.

I changed mine because I have 60,000 miles on it and for some reason the dip stick kept popping out. The PCV valve was an inexpensive part. I also put a new o-ring around the dipstick. Hasn't popped out since. Not sure which fixed it.

My plastic 90* thingy cracked so I replaced it......I agree with Zack.....never saw a bad PCV valve...ever!!!:shake:

I gutted mine and reversed flow using an EV-111 on the driver's side head....ProCharger system deleted the PCV system....A VERY BAD IDEA!!!

The plastic angle thingy is the same size in all PCV kits that I have seen and will fit your PCV valve fine!!

I went over to CarQuest since a friend of mine works there, I picked up a PCV Elbow for $2.00 and he gave me some PCV hose, everything went very smoothly.

I want too personally thank Marauderjack, he was the one that gave me the idea of going to the parts store to get a PCV Elbow, my total cost was $2.00 versus spending $55.00 for the whole assembly.

I cannot believe that Ford does not sell the plastic piece seperately.

Marauderjack's help is what makes this board fantastic.
