...that's very true.
So I was leaving Shisha Cafe Thursday night/Friday morning, around 1:30, I'm going down Babcock heading back to 410 to book it home, when a few traffic lights away from the cafe I see HID headlights behind me in the other lane.
I kept trying to glimpse the profile of the car, to see what it was.
Corvette maybe? Nah, too bulky.
...
Is that an NSX? I don't think so, still a little too big, plus not that incredible a car.
...
So finally the car passes me by and I get a look at it:
'05 Lamborghini Gallardo.
I laughed my ass off, and thought "DAMN".
So naturally being me, I dropped it in second gear and put the loud pedal all the way down, and as I passed him I noticed him clapping to me. I was like "WTF?"
So we both stop at the front of the line at the light at Babcock and Callaghan. I have my window down and he rolls up and says "Damn dude, is that thing fast? That's the one with the Cobra motor right? Nice car."
I laughed my ass off again on the inside. When the light turned green I rolled flat-out through first and a little into second then slowed down again, and from the next light he opened his car up and we raced up the highway a bit, ultimately ending in me being beat by a fair margin (which I knew was gonna happen from the start).
Moral of the story though:
I got mad props on my $13,000 Mercury from a guy that owns a $175,000 Lamborghini.
Needless to say, I've been feeling very good about myself since then. :D
