Hey how you guys doing. Well I've searched all over the forums and this type of thread hasn't been started yet, so what the hell I'm sure many would like to know. I know that 1/4 times can be seen via clicking the Timeslips link but how bout starting a thread that has clear mods list to go with it.

Lets make it nice and consistent.

Format
1/4 Time:
Elevation (if known)
Track:

1/4 Time: 13.72
Elevation: 20 ft
Track: Capitol Raceway - Crofton, MD
Rear Tire: 255-50-16 BFG drag radial mounted on 16" CVPI steel wheels @ 20psi
Mods: Zack Tune via SCT SF (wanna be Xcal2), JLT (no heat shield), 90mm MAFS, PHP Intake Spacer, GMS Coil-plug connectors, NGK TR6IX plugs, Ford Racing 39 lb injectors, Ford GT fuel pump), 2nd set of cats deleted, Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers, Meg's 3.5" res-delete tips, PI 3500 stall converter, Stock 3.55 gears, Stock LSD (slippage) and Zack's control arms. I think that was everything I had when I ran, besides removing the driver's side headlight, folding in the mirrors, running slightly more than 1/4 tank of gas and air suspension turned off 12 hrs prior.

13.74 run which was a hot lap right after the 13.72.

Wow, very impressive. You give people hope with 3.55 gears like me! I'll probably be heading out to Capital within two months from now also, I think its one of the nicest tracks.
Just out of curiosity though, why do you turn off your air suspension?

Best 1/4 Time: 13.639@99.68
Elevation: 40ft
Track: Englishtown raceway park- Englishtown NJ.
Rear tire: Nitto 420S 255/55/18 with 25psi.
Performance mods: Steeda pullies, PHP intake spacer, PHP cold air intake, Metco intake tube, Accufab 62MM twin bore TB, EMP waterpump, PI 3000 stall convertor, FMS 4.10 gears, Cherry bomb vortex mufflers, IT-20 Denso plugs, 180 T-stat, SCT tune by Powersurge performance.

With the air suspension off, you'll get a little more rearward weight distribution for your launch. Thats what I heard but, I always leave it on.

Its all in the bolt-ons that you pick and the size of your wallet:lol:

basic mods needed for a 13 second car (Marauder)
- Underdrive pulleys, add a nice snap
- Exhaust (your choice, cobra manifolds with Xpipe, or a full KooKs setup)
- Cold air intake, K/N or Jlt....
- 3000 or 3500 stall torque converter
- 4:10 gears
- Tune (Dennis Reinhart or Lidio or ... your choice)

This will make the 13's and make a very peppy daily driver!

to go faster....takes a supercharger of your choice

Just out of curiosity though, why do you turn off your air suspension?I went from 14.19 with 255/55-18 (3.50 effective rear gear) to 13.72 with 255/50-16 (3.90 effective rear gear) with proper tune for RevsPerMile. Capitol is a good track for 11 sec and slower cars when the prep the track right but if you get your runs in first thing and towards the end you usually can do pretty good since the track has warmed up some.

^Correct, if you watch my video at like the 0.34 mark I am preloading the converter and you can see the rear wheel gap start to increase and when I launch the rearward weight shifts then.

When I remember...:o...
I will turn off my 'RAS' a few days before I go drag racing.
My air bags don't leak down too much, so a couple of days with it 'OFF' will soften up the air bags and get me better weight transfer on the launch.
I've never consistently run with it 'OFF' so I don't have any good track data for comparison purposes.

What's it worth in the 1/4???

:dunno:

If I was REALLY serious about weight transfer, I would drop off my front sway bar before going drag racing.
